Joshua Larvin-Smith was born eternally sleeping on Thursday 3rd November 2005 at 10:08am weighing 3lbs. Thanks to Cast In Time, Joshua’s daddy was able to capture his hand and foot immediately after he was born in the delivery room before we would have to say goodbye to him forever. Joshua had died at 31 weeks and 5 days. We had prepared for some of the keepsakes such as taking photographs, a lock of his hair and ink prints of his hands and feet, however, nothing is quite as special as the casts we have of his tiny foot and hand.
Cast In Time enabled us the opportunity to take a cast of our first child which even though he is now in heaven and the casts can never be done again in person, we can always remember and touch our son’s foot and hand. We have saved the original casts, however had bronze replica’s done of Joshua which we can hold and touch without fear of breakage and damage, thanks to Cast In Time.
The staff at Cast In Time have supported my husband and I through the grieving process of our son and words cannot describe how grateful we are for all their support and kindness. The casts of Joshua are our way of feeling close to our son and help us to cope when we miss him. They are also going to be our special way of sharing his life and story with his future brothers and sisters. The casts were also given to Joshua’s grandparents as he was their first grandchild and they miss him too.
We would recommend Cast In Time to anybody who needs to make a lasting memory of a loved one or capture a special moment. The kits are excellent and the service provided by the staff is so personal, special and thoughtful that we cannot thank them enough.

“The few hours Joshua was with us slipped away so fast. I have prints of his hand and foot but these can't be held or stroked. It is difficult to put in words what having casts of my precious first grandchild means to me.
The tiny fingernails, the little creases so detailed make them a carbon copy and so priceless to me. Looking and touching Joshua's hand and foot is so sad and makes me cry but without them, I would have nothing to hold or nothing to stroke. Memories fade but these keep Joshua's memory safe. I am eternally grateful for them.”

Joshua you weren’t with us long
Only a few days did you belong
Smile so sweet, button nose
Hands so perfect, enormous toes
Up above us shining bright
Angels rock your crib tonight |
